WE ARE GRAPHENE.

Join AGM at the next CoatingsTech conference hosted by the American Coatings Association (ACA), as industry experts, coatings professionals and leading innovators address current and future market challenges.

On Tuesday 29th June 2021 at 3.30pm (EDT), our CEO, Adrian Potts, will deliver AGM’s latest technical presentation focusing on the formulation of graphene dispersions for water-based coatings and their anti-corrosion benefits.

Waterborne Epoxy Coating – Lifting Performance for tomorrow

Graphene as a 2D-nanomaterial has been extensively researched as a new additive to improve barrier performance, reducing corrosion and extending service life. AGM has previously demonstrated significant uplifts in anticorrosive performance in solvent based coatings through the use of graphene nanoplatelets. To date, dispersion of graphene in water-based systems has been problematic, causing coating instability or requiring large amounts of surfactant. AGM’s presentation will discuss the development of its novel easily handleable waterborne dispersions which are easy to use and storage-stable. This development holds promise for waterborne coating anti-corrosion performance, and addressing environmental challenges in the coating industry.

The conference will be centred on the theme of “Essential Coatings Technology: Supporting Tomorrow’s Sustainable Development Challenges Today” and will feature the latest science and technology developments from industry experts, coatings professionals and leading innovators, as they address current and future market challenges.

Through a series of special lectures from notable industry experts, focused technical sessions aimed at fully exploring key topics, and critical advanced training sessions, ACA’s 2021 CoatingsTech Conference offers an unprecedented opportunity for all levels of coatings professionals to participate and learn from each other.

We look forward to seeing you there!

We are delighted to announce that our partnership with a leading innovator in the cycling market, Tru-Tension, has resulted in the launch of a brand new detailing spray enhanced with AGM’s graphene nanoplatelet technology.

UK-based Tru-Tension designs and manufactures products for biking enthusiasts, from tools and cleaning products for commuters and adventure riders, to lubricants and accessories for high performance motorcycle racing. Following a programme of in-house research and testing, the manufacturer claims that the new formulation enhanced with AGM’s industry-leading Genable® graphene dispersion technology delivers extended performance benefits.

Since successfully securing a substantial investment from retail guru Touker Suleyman on BBC’s Dragons’ Den back in 2018, Tru-Tension has grown from strength to strength, expanding its range of high-quality bike maintenance solutions. Tru-Tension suggests the graphene-based spray offers an unrivalled high gloss finish that also acts as a protective layer to leave paintwork glistening, and that the newly formulated hydrophobic coating also reduces dirt build-up to make future cleaning easier.

The Graphene Bike Detailer product represents a further milestone for both companies in bringing graphene nanoplatelet-based products to the wider market. The brand is now available to purchase in Halfords and many other national retailers, as well as through the Tru-Tension website: https://www.tru-tension.co.uk/

Working with industry pioneers like Tru-Tension, AGM continues to realise the benefits of graphene for detailing product applications.

This latest product launch represents another example of how the incorporation of the Company’s unique graphene dispersion technology can transform customers’ products and help manufacturers to stand out in the car and bike care market.
